Event Description

The Institute of Materials, Malaysia (IMM) is organizing an One-Day Conference on Materials Failure Investigation (CMFI) 2023 on 23 August 2023 in conjunction with the International Conference on X-rays & related Techniques in Research & Industries 2023 organized by Universiti Teknologi Malaysia.

Materials failure investigation is a multidisciplinary technique whereby facts related to an incident/situation and a material are correlated to understand how and why the material fail to perform in order to prevent future recurrence. The technique has been employed in various sectors such as oil & gas, utilities, manufacturing, and semiconductor. ICMFI 2023 aims to gather plant operators, industry practitioners, research scientists and educators to share their technical knowledge and experiences in failure investigation of materials. The conference will also showcase various scientific instruments used in the failure investigation of materials.
