INDO DEFENCE 2027 EXPO & FORUM: Navigating Defence Industry Developments, Pursuing Global Partnerships
Jakarta, November 2026 — Indo Defence 2027 Expo & Forum, Indonesia’s official tri-service defence event, is strengthening its position ahead of its 11th edition, connecting Indonesia’s defence sector with global technology providers, industry leaders, and strategic partners. As the defence sector continues to evolve, the exhibition aims to serve as a strategic gateway to Indonesia and the wider international market, enabling companies from around the world to explore business opportunities and establish a stronger presence in Indonesia and beyond.

Recent developments in international defence cooperation are creating new opportunities for countries to strengthen their defence industries through strategic partnerships. On October 2026, Indonesia, Türkiye, Qatar, and Pakistan signed the Badr Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in Doha, Qatar, to strengthen defence cooperation and develop their respective military capabilities. The agreement covers military production, technical training, and research and development (R&D), while providing a framework for joint projects and technology sharing. This initiative underscores the growing importance of international collaboration in strengthening defence industrial capabilities and advancing technological development.

Continuing its international outreach ahead of the upcoming edition, the Indo Defence team will participate in EURONAVAL, taking place from 3–6 November 2026. The visit will provide an opportunity to engage with international defence industry stakeholders, introduce the event to prospective exhibitors and partners, and exchange insights into emerging industry trends and technological developments.

Alongside these efforts, Indo Defence 2027 Expo & Forum will introduce three dedicated zones to support the development of Indonesia’s domestic defence capabilities. The Innovation Zone will support the downstreaming and commercialisation of national defence research, encourage collaboration between research institutions and industry players, and provide visibility for emerging defence technology enterprises. Complementing this initiative, the Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) Zone will highlight national MRO capabilities while facilitating engagement with international partners and technical collaborators, supporting Indonesia’s broader objective to strengthen its position within the regional defence maintenance ecosystem. Further expanding the scope of these new zones, the CBRNE (Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear, and Explosive) Zone will provide a platform for collaboration and innovation, bringing together industry, defence agencies, emergency response teams, researchers, and end users to showcase the latest CBRNE technologies and capabilities.
Indo Defence 2027 Expo & Forum will take place on 12–15 May 2027 at the Nusantara International Convention Exhibition (NICE), PIK 2, Tangerang, Indonesia, incorporating with Indo Aerospace and Indo Marine 2027 Expo & Forum. As part of Indonesia’s Official Tri-Service Defence, Aerospace, Maritime, and Security Event, the exhibition is targeting 1,200 exhibitors from 60 countries, including 35 international country pavilions, and attracts approximately 47,000 visitors, reflecting its ambition to strengthen international industry engagement and expand business opportunities across the defence sector.

The exhibition programme will feature expert level seminars, industry forums, and technical presentations addressing key challenges and opportunities within the sector. Complemented by product exhibitions and product demonstrations of advanced defence technologies, Indo Defence will provide industry stakeholders with insights into emerging developments while fostering knowledge exchange, strategic partnerships, and business opportunities across Indonesia’s defence sectors.
