Bari-Ship 2023 opens its doors next month for the first time in four years!

Bari-Ship is back to Imabari!


Let’s face it, you can’t beat face-to-face events for conveying products, technology and passion. "Bari-Ship" will be held as a live event for the first time in four years, and there is a lot of excitement at the prospect of everyone in the maritime industry being able to get together again to talk business in Imabari next month.


Bari-Ship, which celebrates its seventh edition this time, will be held over three days from May 25th to 27th 2023. The exhibition will be the largest scale ever.

The maritime industry is currently facing many challenges, such as the drive towards carbon neutrality, the introduction of new fuel sources, digital transformation (DX), and human resource development. The products and technologies needed for the future of the maritime industry have already been developed. Regarding the upcoming Bari-Ship 2023, Mr. Shigeki Tokunaga, Mayor of Imabari city, said, "Bari-Ship is an important event symbolizing Imabari’s position as Japan’s leading maritime city. International pavilions and companies


There will be two international pavilions at Bari-Ship 2023. The Denmark pavilion will return after its debut at the previous edition and there will be new pavilion of companies from Poland.


In addition, there are exhibiting companies from 12 countries, including Canada, China, Cyprus, Finland, Germany, Korea, the Netherlands, Norway, Panama, Singapore, the U.K. and USA. Participating companies recognize that Bari-Ship is the best way to meet and do business with key people from the extensive number of ship owners, shipyards and marine equipment manufacturers that make Imabari Japan's largest maritime city.


Full Program of Industry Seminars


A full program of conferences, seminars and workshops will be held in conjunction with the exhibition. The two-day Bari-Ship Forum brings together the top leaders of the maritime industry such as shipowners, shipbuilders, and marine equipment manufacturers to discuss the key issues facing the industry. The keynote speech will be given by Mr. Junichiro Ikeda, Chairman of Mitsui O.S.K. Lines, Ltd. and there will be special session about an innovative power transfer vessel by Mr. Masahiro Ito, Director, President & CEO of Power X, Inc. In addition to the Forum there will be seminars hosted by various maritime industry associations, presentations by Japan Engine Corporation and Alfa Laval, and a large number of exhibitor presentations.
