Educational events for the general public
A special feature of Bari-Ship is that it is open to the general public on the third day. This allows the local community, many of whom have family members working in the maritime industry, to gain a better understanding of the various aspects of the industry. In addition to access to the exhibition, several shipyards and marine equipment manufactures hold open days at their yards and factories. A number of special events are held. By generating interest in the maritime industry, which people don't often have the opportunity to engage with, the aim is to revitalize local industries and ultimately foster the development of the next generation of professionals involved in Japan's maritime industry.
