Jakarta, April 2026 — Building on its legacy as Indonesia's leading official tri-service defence event, Indo Defence Expo & Forum continues to bring together the world's foremost defence industry players, government officials, and military leaders to strengthen strategic collaboration and accelerate innovation across the defence sector. Rooted in Indonesia's commitment to strengthening its national defence ecosystem, the event provides an unrivalled environment for forging partnerships, exploring emerging technologies, and responding to the shifting and evolving dynamics of the defence landscape.

The defence sector across Asia is entering a phase of accelerated investment and transformation, creating significant opportunities for industry engagement and collaboration. According to the International Institute for Strategic Studies, defence procurement as well as Research and Development (R&D) spending across key Southeast Asian countries, including Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam, increased by approximately USD 2.7 billion between 2022 and 2024, reaching around USD 10.5 billion and reflecting ongoing momentum in defence investment across the region. This growth reflects a shift toward higher value investments and advanced capabilities, alongside a growing emphasis on strengthening national defence industries through international collaboration, technology transfer, and local production, highlighting expanding opportunities for strategic partnerships across the region.

This growth trajectory presents significant opportunities for industry engagement. Indo Defence 2027 Expo & Forum continues to expand its international outreach through active participation at the Defence Services Asia Exhibition and Conference (DSA), taking place on 20–23 April 2026. The team will meet prospective exhibitors, partners, and delegates to present the latest event developments and highlight opportunities to be part of its 11th edition.

As part of its comprehensive program, Indo Defence 2027 Expo & Forum will feature expert level seminars, industry forums, and technical presentations addressing key challenges and opportunities within the defence sector. The exhibition will also showcase product exhibitions and product demonstrations of defence technologies, offering participants direct insights into the latest innovations shaping the industry. Reflecting its growing international significance, the upcoming edition is set to scale up significantly, targeting 1,000 exhibitors from 60 countries, including 35 international country pavilions, and attract approximately 47,000 visitors.

To further reinforce its role in supporting national defence capability development, the exhibition will introduce two new dedicated pavilions designed to strengthen collaboration and capability development within Indonesia’s national defence ecosystem. The Innovation Zone, presented in collaboration with the Defence Technology Agency (Batekhan), will support the downstreaming and commercialisation of national defence research, encourage collaboration between research institutions and industry players, and provide visibility for emerging defence technology enterprises. Complementing this initiative, the Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) Zone, in partnership with the Defence Maintenance Agency (Baharwat), will highlight national MRO capabilities while facilitating engagement with international partners and technical collaborators, supporting Indonesia’s broader objective to strengthen its position within the regional defence maintenance ecosystem.

Indo Defence, incorporating with Indo Aerospace and Indo Marine Expo & Forum, is scheduled to take place on 12–15 May 2027 at the Nusantara International Convention Exhibition (NICE), PIK 2, Tangerang, Indonesia. As Indonesia’s Official Tri-Service Defence, Aerospace, Maritime, and Security Event, the exhibition will bring together global industry leaders, technology providers, government representatives, and key defence stakeholders to explore collaboration opportunities and contribute to the continued advancement of defence industries across Indonesia and Southeast Asia.
